Stielhandgranate. Stielhandgranates are like a stick with a cube filled with explosives at the end. They are thrown on their side.

Thompson. The Americans always use the Thompson as their sub-machine gun. The Thompson was banned in the USA later on after the war because people were killing people with them.

France. This section of WWII was called the Normandy breakout. It was extremely successful on the American part.

November 7. "Call of Duty 3's" launch date was postponed a few times. This was a hassle for the waiting people. People waiting for it to appear on other next-gen systems needed to wait.

World War II. World War II was from 1939-1945. It ended when the Japanese signed a peace treaty on the USS Missouri.

Bren. The Bren is a large machine gun. Curiously, the curved clip, which is usually on the bottom of the gun, is on the top.

Panzershreck. The panzershreck is like a bazooka. It is extremely large, and you run slower with it.

False. The four countries you play as in "Call of Duty 3" are America, Britain, Canada, and Poland. They are the American infantry, British Commando, Canadian Highlander, and the Polish Tanker.

Nichols. When you are assigned to complete an American objective, you are called Nichols every time. It's almost the first word you hear in the basic training.

Fuel Plant. This mission starts out with you in a train yard. The player then must get in a truck and provide cover from multiple German squads. Then, the player must plant two charges in specific places in the plant, thus destroying a key German fuel supply base.

Tank. The Panzer is the German counterpart to the Allied Sherman tank. They are both outfitted with similar weapons. The Panzer, however, is slightly smaller, giving it a slight advantage in head-to-head combat.

World War II. Many of the "Call of Duty" games take place during World War II. One exception to this is "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare", which takes place in modern times.

Holding the left trigger to aim. This aiming style allows for a more realistic feeling while the player is playing. While holding down the left trigger, the character will aim down the iron sights of the weapon you have equipped. This allows for greater accuracy, rather than just firing from the hip.

Telegraph Building. The first mission of the game is called Saint Lo. In this mission, the player's tasks will vary from fighting troops on foot to being the gunner for a tank.
